The 64st edition of the Cannes Film Festival was held for 12 days, from 11 to May 22, 2011 in Cannes in the city of France, awarding the best films from a large part of the world. The president of the jury for the main competition was Robert De Niro. The ceremony was presented by Mélanie Laurent. The movie Midnight in Paris, opened the festival.
