Forqué Awards
The José María Forqué Film Awards or Forqué Awards are film and television awards, awarded annually by the Entity for the Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers of Spain (EGEDA), since 1996, to recognize the best Spanish film productions.
The Forqué Awards are named after the Spanish filmmaker José María Forqué, who is considered an essential figure in cinema in Spain.
The first ceremony of the Forqué Awards was held on April 17, 1996 at the Ateneo Científico y Literario in Madrid. The film Nobody Will Speak of Us When We're Dead, was the winner of that edition.
