In a small town in Spain, while riding through the woods one day, Alejandro, an energetic, eccentric and lonely 60-year-old widower, finds a series of notes written in playful rhymes that offer clues in a treasure hunt -- presumably leading to a young woman. Fascinated, he follows the trail and finds Goyita, a captivating, intelligent and determined 12-year-old girl. Alejandro and Goyita build a deepening relationship which gently, simply and with occasional rage, makes its way to an inevitably outcome.
