In a Buenos Aires bar called Garllington a group of friends in their forties meet everyday. It is the same bar where they used to meet during their high school days, when they laughed at a world which they now purport to be changing over a cup of coffee. All of them live on their own now: they have no deep or stable sentimental attachments and they are beginning to realize that if they want to share their old age with someone they love, they must set to the task now and start paying more attention to their feelings.
A financial crisis triggers off Sebastián's suicide. This makes Valeria return to the Garllington bar to find some consolation in Sergio, Marcos and Duke. Valeria's reappearance causes mixed feelings in Sergio and Marcos and opens old wounds in them. A group of characters representative of any big city surround the protagonists and make up a chorus of human beings in search of consolation in the arms of their fellow creatures.
