Tess (Kathleen Quinlan), a divorced woman in her forties, is convinced that her twentysomething daughter Jenny (Lori Heuring) has terrible taste in men, and in desperation, secretly goes online to find her daughter's " Mr. Right." She finds Peter (Henry Ian Cusick), a sexy, 35 year old British professor, and posing as her daughter, strikes up an online friendship.
