The film consists of a series of short stories dedicated to different periods of the life of the famous Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva: before her departure, emigration (Prague and Paris) and returning to Stalin's Russia. This is the story of the relationship between Marina Tsvetaeva and the main man in her life: Sergey Efron, from their first meeting in Koktebel until 1941, when Tsvetaeva received news of his death.
