The third season of El Marginal is centered two years after the "pigeon riot" and a year before the Luna Lunati (Maite Lanata) kidnapping. The Borges brothers (Nicolás Furtado and Claudio Rissi) have consolidated their power in the San Onofre prison. At the request of Antín (Gerardo Romano), the Borges must protect an inmate recently arrived, Cristian Pardo, the son of a powerful businessman (Lorenzo Ferro). Emma (Martina Gusmán) deals with the traumas that the riot left her and the young people of the Sub 21 try to dethrone the Borges; and for that, they weave alliances with an ex-boxer prisoner (Alejandro Awada) and with Pantera (Ignacio Sureda).
