In war-torn countries, some mothers begin to have physically and mentally different babies who appear to have supernatural talents. Their emergence triggers a political and cultural crisis, especially in Sri Lanka, where a three-decade civil war has finally ended and the nation is celebrating the prospect of a prosperous future. However, the appearance of these children, nicknamed Vikaari, has created a cultural and political crisis that threatens to destabilize the nation and bring it back to the brink of violent conflict.
