Terra Nova is a period series that follows the daily lives of families in the fishing communities of the Portuguese coast in the 1930s.
A 13-episode Cinemate production, filmed in Portugal and the North Sea, deals with the lives of fishermen, their family and personal relationships, and the political conflicts of the time. A series that brings us a social portrait of a time when many families depended on life at sea for their livelihood, while they had to fight to survive.
