Successful novelist Eric Busch has written his first play and becomes involved with parasitic theatrical producer Matt Saxon. The association nearly ruins his entire life including his marriage. Montgomery gives a good performance in the juicy role of the monstrous producer. John Payne as the writer, Susan Hayward as his wife and Audrey Totter as the producer's long-suffering girlfriend are also good.
