Abasiri and his nephew Mani are summoned to Colombo to identify a woman who has been raped and murdered. After discovering that the dead body belongs to his estranged wife, Suddhi, Abasiri hides his despair and embarks on a bizarre journey back to his small native village, where rumors of Suddhi’s demise have already spread. With the coffin attached to the hood of an old ice cream truck, Abasiri and Mani drive through Sri Lanka’s mesmerizing landscapes to confront their fellow villagers with their own hypocrisy.
