A handful of Portuguese boys venture across the border to immerse themselves in the warm waters of ancient Roman baths. There, they mingle with various groups, all enjoying the afternoon – some seeking tranquility, others amusement. As evening draws in, one of the boys confides a long-held secret to his friend. Upon their departure, only the water and the starry sky are left behind. Yet, that same sky is also gazed upon by another group of young men: the Roman soldiers who originally built the springs. Their youth and preoccupations are strikingly similar to those of the modern-day Portuguese boys.
