Spain in the 1980s. Miguel and Alicia are haunted by the disappearance of their son, Gabriel. While Miguel is eaten alive by guilt over the drunken night he lost him, Alicia feels that it was her husband, not her son, who truly died that day. Meanwhile, ten-year-old Philippe travels through the area with his parents in a caravan, unaware that their lives are about to collide with Miguel and Alicia’s. This meeting sparks a descent into the darkest depths of the human soul from which there is no turning back.
