The Luminous Life (2025)

As Nicolau turns 24 in springtime Lisbon, his birthday passes uncelebrated. Stuck in his parents' house, he finds himself unable to forge his own path, held captive by an unfulfilled musical ambition and the idealized memory of an ex-girlfriend who vanished a year prior. His series of temporary jobs offer no escape, until a startling discovery: his own mother shares his deep dissatisfaction with life. This revelation jolts Nicolau, yet instead of succumbing, he finds the resolve to move forward. He secures work at a stationery store, settles into a shared apartment, and slowly, life begins to find its rhythm again, reigniting his dreams and opening his heart. On the horizon await a new girl and a mysterious island.
